Jodey Collorick is the creative director of Kelmscott Studio. He is both an interior designer and master craftsman drawing on 25 years experience of creating beautifully designed and well crafted interiors.

Jodey’s father was an antiques dealer and his mother made soft furnishings so it was not surprising that he would move into the world of interiors. Aged sixteen Jodey started restoration work for his father, giving him a strong understanding of methods, materials and good design.  He set up his own business restoring and painting furniture and using his decorative techniques in people’s homes before spending twenty years as head decorator for Plain English. His creativity and experience was increasingly recognised by his customers and he found he was being asked for colour and decorative advice or to source items of furniture. Jodey’s love of making a home was growing.

Aware that he liked both designing and making whilst observing that the world was moving to a place where fine craftsmanship was again being appreciated Jodey saw the opportunity to pull everything together and set up Kelmscott Studio.

Kelmscott Studio is an interior design studio and workshop making furniture, lighting, upholstery and soft furnishings tailor made to each client’s individual project. With an arts and crafts vibe, following the principle of reclaim and reuse and with a respect for natural materials and traditional methods. We design and make as much as possible in our own workshop or use local crafts people. We can also source items to suit your specific project or interior.
